ID and PIN

Any Harvard affiliate needs to have their HUID and PIN to get any FAS account or access to many online applications. You can request your PIN to be set when you receive your Harvard ID in person at the HUID Office

FAS Email account

Once you have an ID and PIN you can activate your FAS email Account at: http://www.fas.harvard.edu/fasit/myaccount/. Click on the Activate my account link.

There are other utilities available on that page to setup Spam blocking, virus blocking, forwarding your mail, and vacation messages. You can use our webmail application at http://webmail.fas.harvard.edu/

New computer setup or setup user on existing computer

Your Department should provide you with a new computer or an existing computer. FAS IT Service Desk can send an on-site technician to setup your computer, install and configure your software.

Available Software

FAS IT offer s several software titles for no fee to FAS Faculty and Staff that can be picked up at the FAS IT Service Desk. Those titles are:

  • Microsoft Windows
  • Apple OS
  • Filemaker Pro

Calendaring & Meeting Maker

Meeting Maker is the collaborative calendaring application the Faculty of Arts and Sciences currently uses. The FAS IT Service Desk can create Meeting Maker accounts for you once you have your FAS email account setup.

My.harvard.edu

http://my.harvard.edu/ is the FAS web portal. It has many features and is customizable. You need a Harvard University ID and PIN to login and personalize my.harvard.edu.

PeopleSoft

PeopleSoft is supported by University Information Systems (UIS). Access is granted through local HR and Financial offices. Technical Support is provided by the UIS Help Desk: Phone: (617) 496-2001

Oracle & Administrative web applications

If you are required to use Oracle or other administrative web applications like the General Ledger, Budget Tool, Administrator's Work Station (AWS), or others. You need to send an email to appsec@fas.harvard.edu to get access. Support for Administrative applications is handled by many different groups depending on the application. Please call the FAS IT Service Desk for assistance, and we will help you get in touch with the proper group.

ASPerIN

The Arts & Sciences Personnel Information (ASPerIN) is a database for keeping track of all Arts & Sciences job appointments and affiliated information.
