FAS Information Technology

FAS Information Technology provides shared departmental space for faculty and staff. This storage space is managed through Microsoft Active Directory and allows for authentication and sharing with individuals, departments, or other groups for the purpose of collaboration.

Requests for personal or shared storage should be directed to the Service Desk at help@fas.harvard.edu or by calling 5-9000.

Quotas are determined by size of department or specific usage.

Data stored on DSS10 is backed up daily with incremental backups on weekday evenings and full-backups done over the weekends.

FAS Information Technology expects that shared space on DSS10 be used for official university business, academic and research purposes. Server space is not intended for personal storage of music, movies, or images which are not part of an academic, research or otherwise official university purpose.
